We are accepting resumes a Shipping Supervisor to join our team in Beaverton, OR. This is a day shift position that leads and directs daily activities of the shipping department, including productivity, quality, service, and on-time delivery in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential functions:
- Supervise the daily activities of the shipping team.
- Ensures every shipment leaves on-time (domestic and international).
- Works closely with the sales department, production, inventory and accounting to ensure full customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and oversee outgoing shipping activities to verify items are shipping to the correct location.
- Oversight of all unfulfilled orders and able to account for their status.
- Checks orders, bills, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
- Inspect shipping operations to make sure that they working as efficiently as possible, and employees are complying with carrier/custom regulations.

- Maintains records, reports relevant information, and prepares necessary documentation.
- Act as a liaison between workers and management and reports on shipping activities and issues.
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties/tasks.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide feedback to individuals.
- Continuous phone and email contact with various carriers and contacts regarding shipment delays and issues.
Required education and experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a shipping supervisor or a similar management position.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
- Domestic and International Shipping Experience with all major carriers (FEDEX, UPS, DHL, USPS).
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize shipments and tickets.
- Time management skills and the ability to delegate.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data entry, and carrier software.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a wide variety of organizational members.
Physical demands/Work Environment
- Temperature controlled warehouse.
- Moderate noise levels.
- Daily interactions with numerous employees.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly, and up to 70 pounds on occasion.
- Periods of prolonged periods of standing.
Salary: $55,000 - $63,000, DOE
