Box Truck Driver

As a Box Truck Driver, you will be assigned routes based on availability, delivering to stores and restaurants. Routes may include destinations such as NYC, Long Island, Hamptons, Philadelphia, or NJ. This role involves a high level of physical activity, requiring the loading and unloading of cases of alcohol weighing up to 40lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Drive an 18 ft box truck to assigned destinations.
• Load and unload cases of alcohol at each stop, with up to 40 stops in the city or 20 stops in NJ.
• For city routes, work with 1-2 helpers to assist with loading and unloading.
• For NJ routes, manage loading and unloading independently.
• Ensure timely and professional delivery to all assigned locations.

Essential Skills:

• Experience driving a box truck.
• Proficiency in loading and unloading trucks.
• Ability to drive for extended periods.
• Clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Reliability and professionalism.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs consistently.

Work Environment:

Work for an alcohol distribution company, driving an 18 ft box truck, with routes assigned based on availability. City routes include assistance with loading and unloading, while NJ routes require independent work. The role is physically demanding, emphasizing reliability and professionalism.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edison, NJ.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
